About Libby

It started with a Christmas gift.

In 2022, I wanted to make something truly special for my mom — a miniature collector, just like her mother before her. I built her a miniature advertising box by hand, stamped it "Miniatures by Libby," and gave it to her that Christmas.

I never expected what happened next.

Within weeks I was hooked — completely, wonderfully, expensively hooked. I started hunting estate sales, antique auctions, and miniature shows, searching for the kinds of pieces that make a serious collector's breath catch. High-end artisan miniatures from the golden era of the craft: the 1980s through 2000, when some of the most gifted miniaturists in the world were at the height of their powers.

Many of those artists have since retired. Some have passed. Their pieces — often one-of-a-kind, often breathtaking — live on in collections around the world. I've made it my mission to find them and make sure they find the perfect new homes.

Some pieces I keep. I won't pretend otherwise. But many I offer here, to collectors who understand what they're looking at.

My grandmother — my Grammy — collected miniatures too, and she's no longer with us. This shop is, in a small way, a tribute to her and to my mom, and to the joy that tiny, perfect things can bring.
