The By Small Chance Antiques store was my first miniature project. It is fun to fill, as the inventory changes all the time. It's home to a George Schlosser Mt. Vernon painting, Sam Dunlap fiestaware pieces, Vince Stapleton pottery, a Mell Prescott wing chair, a couple of Kummerow lamps, and more. As you can see, I am still working on the exterior trimwork and sidewalk.

I love the furniture and decor of the arts & crafts era and collect it to decorate my real (full-size) home. Many of my Miniatures by Libby handmade pieces replicate this style.
This room box features several pieces made by me and works from Lee-Ann Chellis Wessel, Kari Bloom, Jack Chasteen, Vince Stapleton, Barbara & Lew Kummerow, and more. Some pieces are available for sale. You can also commission me to make you a room box similar to this!

I have found many wonderful pieces to decorate my English Hunting Lodge. I purchased this room box from the estate of Marianne Thurtle, who was an ardent collector and was well-known in the miniature world. Her collection was so extensive that it took three auctions to sell it all! This room box was originally a Christmas scene. I decided to make it an English Hunting Lodge with an equestrian theme throughout. I don't think I can fit another piece in it! I was fortunate to acquire not only a Gail Steffey sofa (which is so hard to find) but also two of Gail's wing chairs and an ottoman! Other artisan items include a hunting scene tray by Natasha, an equestrian oil painting by Betty Spice, boots, hat, and riding crop by Sylvia Roundtree - The Doll's Cobbler, a horn lamp from Suzanne Russo, a rifle and powder horn by Sir Thom Thumb, a painted box with horses by Beth Bergman, Jeanetta Kendall bear hall tree, a Kummerow stained glass lamp, a dead duck from Frank Balistreri, and more. I'm done filling it now...really, I am. :)
